Oyster Fest @ Grand Central Market

Oyster Fest is one of my favorite weekends at Grand Central Market. Oyster farmers come from all over, and shuck right in front of you for the freshest oysters possible in LA. The Oyster Gourmet, that mimetic oyster hut next to Sari Sari, puts on the fest and they are some of my favorite folks to work with in the market. Oyster gourmet is one of the few places in the market you can have table service, and a surprisingly great glass of wine or champaign.

If you’ve never tried oysters before, this is the place to go, they’re very patient, and will tell you all about the farms they source their oysters from, plus the different ways people enjoy them. They have a great ceviche too.
